QNT (Quant): Breakout
QNT trade setup: Bullish break above a stiff resistance zone ($70 and 200 SMA) confirms Uptrend, with +14% potential upside to $80 (PT) next. Stop loss at $66.
But when to enter the trade?
Notice that QNT is an intraday breakout - price has not closed above $70 yet (on 1D time interval).
There are different approaches to trading breakouts:
1. Trade on intraday breakouts.
2. Wait for break and candle close above that resistance level.
3. Wait for break and re-test of that level
4. Wait for breakout, re-test and re-break

Trade entry strategy depends on your risk / reward preference
1. Highest risk, highest reward (upside or profit potential)
2. Medium risk, medium reward
3. Lower risk, lower reward
4. Lowest risk, lowest reward
Scaled entry. Alternatively, traders could split their trade into 3 ‘bullets’...1st at intraday break, 2nd when price closes above $70 resistance, and 3rd when that breakout is re-tested.
Right now, the market is hot, so a more aggressive approach is perhaps appropriate.
